Every Capex project looks profitable. That's the problem. Webinar on Thursday 3 December 2026, 15:00 to 15:45 CET, with Fredrik Weissenrieder, Mikael Lehtomaa and Erik Stawreberg.

The investment decision

A profitable project still needs to earn its place

The main goal is to invest to boost the company’s total cash flow.

Most companies have more positive business cases than money to fund them. Approving projects one at a time doesn’t answer the real question: is this the best use of the capital we have? Answering it means looking at how each investment adds to the company’s total cash flow, together with everything else competing for the same capital.

That is the subject of our live webinar on Thursday 3 December 2026. Fredrik Weissenrieder, co-author of Redesigning Capex Strategy (McGraw Hill, 2022), will share lessons from 25 years of working with capital-intensive companies.

Capex portfolio prioritisation

Compare competing investments by their contribution to cash flow

Capex portfolio prioritisation means comparing investment requests together, on the same terms, before deciding which ones to fund. A positive business case alone does not establish that a project is the best use of the available capital.

The webinar focuses on how each investment contributes to the company’s total cash flow alongside the other projects competing for funding. See how this comparison works in Weissr Capex Strategy.
